The Mumbai Police have made significant progress in their investigation into the shocking murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique, announcing the arrest of a fourth suspect in the case. The latest apprehended individual, Harishkumar Balakram, was taken into custody in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. As a scrap dealer based in Pune, Balakram is accused of providing both financial support and logistical arrangements for the heinous crime.

Baba Siddique was tragically shot dead by three assailants in Mumbai’s Nirmal Nagar area on October 12, 2024. The incident unfolded just outside the office of his MLA son, Zeeshan Siddique. Following the attack, Siddique was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he was sadly declared dead upon arrival.
In connection with the murder, three other suspects—Gurmail Baljit Singh, Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap, and Pravin Lonkar—had already been apprehended. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities actively pursuing another suspect, Shivkumar Gautam, who remains at large.
